Dalene served for more than ten years on Belmont Fire and Rescue as an EMT and firefighter, and served for three years on the Morrill Planning Board. She also served as the Program Committee Chair of the Board of Directors of Tanglewood 4H Camp and Learning Center for a year. Dalene currently is serving on the Board of the Maine Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation.
